Lapping and Deburring of Medical Components

A customer in the medical equipment industry commissioned Precise Lapping & Grinding Corp. to perform the precision lapping of various medical components as highlighted below. Utilizing our advanced 24" and 32" Speedfam free abrasive machines, the titanium and stainless steel parts were effectively processed, holding tight flat and parallel tolerances of 0.0001". Our engineering experience and technical ability enabled us to create custom fixtures for the small part lapping, and maintain exacting tolerances while handling a range of part sizes from micro to standard.
Micrometer and profilometer testing technologies were used to ensure accuracy. Turnaround times for this project were 1 to 2 weeks, with production varying from 50 pieces to 1,000,000 EAU shipping to the customer in the Midwest.
